This session will provide pedagogical, teaching, and classroom strategies that provide an inclusive, equitable, and empowering learning environment for culturally and linguistically diverse learners. Participants will discuss the key concepts of culturally responsive pedagogy and culturally responsive classroom management strategies and develop a plan of action to make their curriculum, classroom structures, and teacher-student relationships responsive to a diverse student body. Participants will be introduced to approaches that can be used to take course content at any grade level or subject matter and modify the content to be situated in a more culturally meaningful context for learners.
